Postdoctoral Research Associate

Exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced biotech service company located in San Diego, California and receive training in cutting-edge, drug-discovery models, imaging, and analysis techniques. Applicants should have a passion for mammalian cell culture and fluorescence microscopy. Successful candidates will work on grant-funded projects as well as internal R&D efforts in a range of different therapeutic areas.

The position is a renewable, 12-month contract position.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Biology, Biological Engineering, or related fields
  • Candidates may have 0-3 years of post-doctoral experience
  • Successful candidates will be adept at multi-tasking, have exceptional attention to detail, and be effective communicators

Preferred

  • Familiarity with fluorescence microscopy
  • Experience with neuroscience or immunology
  • Ability to code in Python or equivalent is a plus

Scientist I/II: Cell Biology Scientist

Depending on your level of experience, the responsibilities of the role will vary, but may include:

  • Design and management of cell biology experiments
  • Presentation of data internally and to clients
  • Fluorescence microscopy and image analysis
  • Data processing and visualization
  • Immunofluorescence staining
  • Operation of automated liquid handling robotics
  • Troubleshooting assay development initiatives

Business Development Director - West

We are seeking a Business Development Director to drive sales and expand business in a large, defined territory in the Western US, preferably based in the Bay Area. This position reports into the Senior Director of Business Development.

A successful candidate will have a proven sales or business development track record selling primarily into Biotech and Pharmaceutical companies. We are looking for someone who will hunt for new business, grow existing accounts, and manage a sales process for complex, custom solutions. This person will be able to run the sales process from prospecting to close and through to managing client projects and growing accounts with reduced supervision, while work closely with all members of the commercial team to drive revenue and ensure theirs, and the team’s, success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences required; graduate degree a plus
  • 5+ years sales or business development experience, working with complex, custom solutions
  • Confident, energetic, “hunter” mentality
  • Preferably experienced in cell biology, CNS, and imaging spaces – need to be able to have technical conversations with clients about their research
  • Existing relationships in Pharma, Biotech research organizations
  • Drive to win new business, grow existing business, and build long-term client relationships
  • Entrepreneurial sales approach; thrives in a high-growth, rapidly evolving business environment
  • Willingness to wear multiple hats and help where needed
  • Professional, fluent English is required.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills, solid computer skills (MS Office, Gmail, CRM, etc)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Using available tools, and suggesting new tools as appropriate, develop a prospecting cadence within the assigned territory to fill sales pipeline
  • Develop and execute territory and account-specific growth and sales plan
  • Provide regular and accurate updates on pipeline and progress towards meeting quotas both as needed and through CRM system
  • Manage sales pipeline and progress of opportunities
  • As projects are closed, manage projects, ensure customer satisfaction, and drive repeat and expanded opportunities within the accounts
  • Manage and expand existing customer base while continuously working to onboard new clients
  • Attend trade shows and conferences as needed
  • Work-from-home opportunity; up to 20% overnight travel required

 

Business Development Representatives - Boston and San Diego

We are seeking business development representatives to build the sales pipeline, drive sales, and expand business. This position reports into the Senior Director of Business Development.

A successful candidate is excited to learn more about sales or business development and wants to grow with our company. We are looking for someone eager to hunt for new business, grow existing accounts, and manage a sales process for complex, custom solutions. This person will work closely with the more senior members of the team to hunt for new business to help drive revenue and ensure theirs, and the team’s, success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences required; graduate degree is a plus
  • Familiarity with cell biology, CNS and/or imaging
  • 1+ years sales or business development experience in the life sciences market
  • Professional, fluent English is required
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills, solid computer skills (MS Office, Gmail, CRM, etc)
  • Confident, energetic, “hunter” mentality; willing to put in the work to build a territory
  • Willingness to wear multiple hats and help where needed
  • Desire to learn the ins-and-outs of sales for complex, custom solutions
  • Boston representative may be based anywhere in the mid-Atlantic or New England regions with a preference for the Boston area.
  • San Diego representative must be local; hybrid work style
